What exactly is Citizen Science? And how can you use this research approach for nature conservation and environmental protection? Do you want to learn more about how your own ideas and visions can be combined with Citizen Science?

On Wednesday, October 18, from 2-4 pm, the next Mediasphere Meetup will take place at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin.

This time, we will dive into the fascinating world of Citizen Science together with the Citizen Science Center for Nature, Sustainability and Digitization. The format is different from what you are used to: in an interactive workshop we want to find out how science, civil society and business can contribute together to the protection of nature and the environment.

Together we will explore:

  • What Citizen Science actually means and how it can be applied in nature conservation.
  • What challenges and potentials arise when science, civil society and business work together.
  • How Citizen Science can open innovative paths in the cultural and creative industries.

In a practice-oriented part of the workshop, there will be the opportunity to develop and discuss your own project ideas. Particularly promising ideas will then have the chance to be further developed together with the Citizen Science Center for Nature, Sustainability and Digitization.

This workshop is aimed at creators, startups and small and medium-sized enterprises with interfaces to nature and environmental protection and the vision to include society in the processes.

Registration for the Meetup ends on October 9. Please register via email to: mediasphere@mfn.berlin.
